This explains what Gage collects and how we use it.

What we collect

Your name, username, and mobile phone number, the answers you submit in the game, your approximate location (city and region) derived from your IP address, and — if you use our iOS app — a device token so we can send you push notifications.

How we use your location

We use the approximate, city-level location estimated from your IP address to suggest people near you. We don’t collect precise GPS location.

How we use your phone number

To send SMS verification codes (delivered via Twilio), to send occasional account notifications such as follow requests, and to help friends find you. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out. We don’t sell your phone number.

Your choices

You can turn off account notification texts anytime in Settings, reply STOP to stop all texts (including verification), turn off push notifications in your device settings, and contact us to access or delete your data.
